Individual Therapy

Life can be challenging at times. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, struggling in relationships, or finding it difficult to cope with life’s demands.

Many people come to therapy feeling that they should be coping better than they are. Often, they have spent months or years managing on their own before reaching out for support. Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down, make sense of what is happening, and find a way forward.

Whether you are facing a specific difficulty, navigating a life transition, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can provide a space to explore your experiences, develop new perspectives, and create meaningful change.

My aim is to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

How Therapy Can Help

Individual therapy can help you to:

  • Better understand yourself and your experiences

  • Develop healthier ways of coping with stress and emotions

  • Improve relationships and communication

  • Process difficult life experiences

  • Increase confidence and self-esteem

  • Reduce anxiety, worry, and self-criticism

  • Navigate major life transitions

  • Clarify values and goals

  • Improve emotional wellbeing and resilience

Therapy is not about being told what to do. Rather, it is a collaborative process that helps you make sense of your experiences, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges.

What to Expect

The first session provides an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what has brought you to therapy.

Together, we will explore your current concerns, relevant background information, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We will then develop a shared understanding of your goals and discuss a treatment approach that feels appropriate for you.

There is no expectation that you share everything in the first session. Therapy moves at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
